PICKLED CUCUMBERS 
2 med. cucumbers
3/4 c. water
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. mustard seed
1/2 c. onion, sliced
2 bay leaves

Peel and slice cucumbers thin. Sprinkle salt on cucumbers and let stand for 1/2 hour. Place plate over cucumbers and squeeze liquid from cucumbers. Pour off liquid. Combine water, vinegar, sugar, and other ingredients. Pour over cucumbers. Refrigerate overnight. Sliced onions may be added.
