QUICHE LORRAINE 
1 (9 inch) baked pie shell
1/2 lb. bacon
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1/3 c. finely chopped onion
1/2 c. light cream
3 eggs
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper

Place bacon between layers of paper towels, microwave on high for 8 to 9 minutes or until crisp. Cool. Crumble into bottom of pie shell in glass pan. Sprinkle cheese and onions on top, set aside.

Pour cream into 1 cup glass measure. Microwave on high for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes.

In small bowl beat eggs and seasonings. Slowly blend in cream. Pour into pie shell. Microwave on medium-low for 26 to 28 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
