ITALIAN SLAW 
4 c. shredded cabbage
1 1/2 c. chopped onions
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. salad oil
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. celery seed
2 tsp. sugar

Alternate layers of cabbage and onion in bowl. Sprinkle with 3/4 cup sugar. Mix together remaining ingredients; bring to a boil on high heat. Pour over cabbage. Cover and let stand 4-6 hours. Mix and serve.
