LIME PICKLES 
7 lbs. cucumbers (cut 1/4 inch slices)
1 c. lime

Cover cucumbers with water and lime and soak 24 hours. Drain and wash in cold water. Let stand in ice water 1 hour. Make 2 tablespoon salt, 3 quarts vinegar, 8 cups sugar, and 1/2 box pickling spices. Add cucumbers and cook 1 hour or until clear. Pack in jars and seal.
