BEER STEW WITH DUMPLINGS "GOOD
STUFF"
 
1 1/2 lbs. stew meat cut into 1 1/2 inch chunks
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 can (12 oz.) beer
1/4 c. soy sauce
2 lg. carrots, peeled
1 can (1 lb.) tomatoes, chopped
1 onion, cut in 1/8ths

Shake beef chunks in flour and garlic powder mixed in a paper bag. Brown meat in heated vegetable oil. When browned, add beer and soy sauce; cover and simmer one hour over medium heat. Cut carrots in one inch pieces and add to beef mixture with 1/3 cup water and tomatoes. Cover and simmer 20 minutes more. Add onion, bring mixture to a boil. Combine: 1/2 c. milk

Mix until smooth then drop by rounded tablespoons into meat mixture. Cover and simmer 10 minutes then uncover and simmer 10 more minutes or until a toothpick inserted into a dumpling comes out clean.
