CORN BREAD TACO BAKE 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 (1 1/8 oz.) pkg. taco seasoning
1/2 c. water
1 (12 oz.) can corn, whole kernel, drained
1/2 c. chopped green peppers
1 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 pkg. corn muffin mix
1 (2.8 oz.) can French fried onion
1/3 c. (1 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese

Brown meat and drain. Stir in taco seasoning, water, corn, green peppers and tomato sauce. Pour into 2 quart casserole. In separate bowl prepare corn muffin mix according to package mix. Add 1/2 onion to corn bread mix. Spoon this over meat mixture on outer edge of casserole.

Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Top corn bread with grated cheese and remaining French fried onions. Bake 2 or 3 minutes longer.

Serves 6.
