GRANNY'S PECAN PATTIES 
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. white corn syrup
1/3 c. butter
Few grains of salt
1/2 c. cream or milk

Put sugar, corn syrup and milk in saucepan; stir until dissolved. Bring to boiling point and cook until soft ball forms when dropped in cold water.

Remove from heat; add butter, nuts, and vanilla. Let stand for 10 minutes or until creamy; drop from spoon on waxed paper.
