"SUGAR COOKIES" 
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. confectioners sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
5 1/4 c. plain flour

Cream sugars and butter. Add eggs; stir in oil and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients. Add to mixture. Blend well. Refrigerate overnight. Form into small balls; place on greased cookie sheet. Use small glass dipped in white sugar to press balls flat.

Bake at 350°F for 12 to 15 minutes.
