SWEET & SOUR PORK 
2 lbs. lean pork, cooked & cubed
4 tbsp. flour
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. salad oil
2 tbsp. soy sauce
3/4 c. vinegar
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. monosodium glutamate
1 c. green pepper, sliced thin
2 sm. tomatoes, chopped
1 sm. can (11 oz.) mandarin orange sections
2 tbsp. cornstarch blended in 2 tbsp. cold water

Mix beaten eggs, flour, salt and pepper together. Dip meat in batter and fry in hot salad oil until golden brown. Remove browned meat from pan and keep warm. In a medium saucepan, combine soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, monosodium glutamate, green pepper and orange sections. Heat just to boiling and stir in cornstarch mixture; cook, stirring constantly, until sauce is clear. Remove from heat, add meat and serve over rice. Serves 4.
