PUNCH BOWL CAKE 
1 box yellow cake mix
2 sm. boxes instant vanilla pudding
2 cans crushed pineapple, drained
3 cans cherry pie filling
1 lg. Cool Whip
1 c. chopped nuts
Frozen coconut if desired

Bake cake according to directions on box. Let cool. Mix pudding according to directions on box. In punch bowl, crumble layer of cake in bottom. Spread 1/2 pudding mix over. Add a layer of pineapple. Next a layer of cherry pie filling and last of pudding. Another layer of pineapple, cherries, then Cool Whip on top. Sprinkle with nuts and coconut then chill. Use strawberries or blueberries instead of pineapple and cherry.
