2 lbs. raisins
2 lbs. currants
1/2 lb. citron
1 lb. butter
1 lb. sugar
1 lb. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. lemon
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
10 eggs
1 c. syrup
1 pt. whiskey

Combine all ingredients and bake in slow oven (300 to 325 degrees) for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or until firm.
