BANANA BRAN MUFFINS 
1 c. sifted flour (plain)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. bananas (thinly sliced)
2 tbsp. milk
2 tbsp. shortening
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg (well beaten)
1 c. shredded bran breakfast cereal

Sift together flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Cream the sugar with shortening until soft and fluffy. Add egg, bran, milk and bananas and mix well. Add sifted ingredients stirring little as possible. Oil muffin tin well and half fill them. Bake 25 minutes in 375 degree oven.
