2 to 3 tbsp. sofrito sauce 1 can goya gondules (green pigeon peas) 8 oz. can tomato sauce Sm. green pepper Garlic powder & salt to taste 2 c. rice (goya) Corn oil Boil water with corn oil. Add tomato sauce, gondules, sofrito sauce, chopped green pepper, garlic powder and salt. Wash rice well and add to mixture. Stir well for about 3 minutes, lower heat and cover pot and simmer for about 1 hour or until rice is tender soft. Stir rice once after 20 minutes and leave to simmer rest of time until done. |
