CRISPY LIME PICKLES 
2 gal. sliced cucumbers
2 c. undiluted lime
2 tsp. salt
1 box pickling spices
2 gal. cold water
2 qt. vinegar
10 c. sugar

Soak cucumbers and lime in water in large glass container (with a wide mouth) for 24 hours. Rinse every 1/2 hour for 3 hours or until no trace of lime is left on cucumbers. Boil vinegar, salt, sugar and pickling spices. Pour over cucumbers that have been placed in large canning pot and let stand overnight. The next day, simmer for 35 minutes and seal in jars. Do not use metal containers or plastic to soak lime and cucumbers.
