DEEP DISH HAMBURGER PIE
1 lb. ground beef
2 tsp. instant minced onion
2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) condensed tomato soup
1 can (16 oz.) sliced carrots, drained
1 can (12 oz.) vacuum-pack whole kernel corn
Sesame Topping (below)

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Cook and stir ground beef over medium heat until light brown; drain. Place beef in ungreased baking dish, 11 3/4 x 7 1/2 x 1 3/4 inches. Stir in onion, chili powder, oregano, soup, carrots and corn.

Drop Sesame Topping by teaspoonfuls around edges of baking dish. Bake uncovered until topping is golden brown, about 15 minutes. 6 servings.

SESAME TOPPING:

1 c. biscuit baking mix
1/4 c. butter, softened
3 tbsp. boiling water
2 tbsp. sesame seed

Mix all ingredients until a soft dough forms.

S-t-r-e-e-t-c-h it two ways! You can make Sesame Topping double as a pie crust. Pat the dough with floured hands into a 9 inch pie plate, bringing the pastry to the edge of the pan. Flute the edge if you like; do not prick. Bake in a 450 degree oven for 10 minutes. Cool, and it's ready for your favorite filling.
