COOKIES, CANDY AND ICE CREAM

1/2 to 3/4 lb. or 2 stacks Oreo cookies
1/3 c. butter
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
1 (13 1/2 oz.) can condensed milk
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
6 Heath bars, crushed

Crush Oreos and mix with 1/3 cup of butter. Press into bottom of 9x13 inch pan. Cover cookie layer with thick slices of ice cream. Put into freezer while you make chocolate sauce.

Melt chocolate and butter slowly. Add milk and sugar. Heat to boiling point, then cook over medium heat 15 minutes until it thickens a little. Cool. Then spread on top of ice cream. Sprinkle crushed Heath bars on top. Freeze. Can be made a day ahead. Serves 16-20.
