EGG-SAUSAGE CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. pork ground sausage 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. milk 1 can sliced mushrooms, cut up 4 hard boiled eggs, sliced 1 (17 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained 3/4 c. soft bread crumbs, 1 slice 1 tbsp. butter, melted Cook sausage until browned. Drain off grease. In a saucepan melt the 1/4 cup butter and stir in flour and salt. Add milk all at once. Cook and stir until mixture thickens. Stir in cooked sausage, sliced eggs and drained corn and mushrooms. Pour mixture into casserole (1 1/2 quart). Toss bread crumbs with melted butter, sprinkle atop casserole. Bake uncovered at 350 for 30 minutes. This makes a good meal and is one of our favorites. |
