HOMEMADE LASAGNA 
1/2 lb. pkg. lasagna
1 lb. hot Italian sausage
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. basil leaves
1 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
3 eggs, beaten
1 lg. tub cottage cheese
1 tbsp. dried parsley flakes
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, grated
3/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Mix cheese, eggs, parsley and salt. Cover and set in refrigerator. Prepare noodles according to package directions, drain. Cook sausage and beef, drain ingredients to meat and simmer 20 minutes.

In bottom of 9x13 inch baking dish, spoon just enough sauce to cover bottom about 1 to 1 1/2 cups. Layer 1/3 noodles, sauce, cover with foil. Bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake uncovered 25 minutes longer. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
