PUMPKIN DOUGHNUT DROPS 
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. canned or cooked mashed pumpkin
1/4 c. milk
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Vegetable oil

Combine first 2 ingredients; set aside. Combine flour and next 6 ingredients in a medium bowl. Combine egg, pumpkin, milk, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, and vanilla. Add to flour mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.

Pour oil to a depth of 2 inches into a heavy saucepan; heat to 375 degrees. Carefully drop pumpkin mixture by level tablespoonfuls into oil; fry until golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper towels, and roll in sugar- cinnamon mixture. Serve immediately. Yield: about 1 1/2 dozen.
