CHERRY TORTE 
6 egg whites
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 c. sugar
3/4 c. chopped nuts
2 c. soda crackers, crushed by hand
2 env. Dream Whip
1 can cherry pie filling

Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until peaks form, slowly beat in sugar. Fold in nuts and soda crackers. Pour in a greased 9"x13" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool completely. Beat Dream Whip according to directions, spread over meringue, top with cherry pie filling.
