BLUEBERRY CAKE 
4 eggs, separated
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2/3 c. milk
3 c. fresh blueberries, coated with 1 tbsp. flour

Beat egg white until stiff. Fold in 1/2 cup sugar and set aside. Cream shortening, salt, vanilla and 1/2 cup sugar. Add egg and beat until creamy. Add sifted flour and baking powder together with milk. Fold in beaten egg white and berries. Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 inch cake pan or tube. Sprinkle top with sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
