DATE LOAF CANDY 
2 c. sugar
3 tsp. white Karo syrup
1/2 pkg. dates, cut in sm. pieces
1 c. sweet milk
1/2 c. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugar, syrup and milk thoroughly. Add dates after mixture reaches boiling point. When it reaches hard (I use soft) ball stage, remove and beat until creamy. Pour on a damp cloth and roll when cool. cut as desired.
