MASHED POTATO STICKY BUNS 
2 c. mashed potatoes
2 c. lukewarm water
2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
1 c. melted shortening
2 pkgs. yeast
2 c. flour

Mix and let rise for 1 hour. Add:

5 beaten eggs
6 c. flour

Mix and knead, then let rise until double in size. Roll out and spread with softened butter. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll like jelly roll and cut into 1/2 inch slices. Put on top of syrup in pan. Let rise 1 hour and bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

SYRUP:

1 c. butter, melted
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. molasses
