14 slices bread 1 1/2 lb. ham, chopped fine 1/4 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated 1/4 lb. Monterey Jack cheese, grated 6 eggs 3 c. milk Salt and pepper Butter The night prior to serving: cut the crust off the bread slices and let them dry out a little. Place 7 bread slices in greased 9x13 inch pan and cover with the chopped ham and the grated cheeses. Put remaining bread slices over the top, breaking into chunks. In a bowl, beat the eggs with the milk; season with salt and pepper to your liking. Pour egg mixture over the bread chunks. Dot with butter and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour on the following morning. |
