GOLUMKI (Stuffed Cabbage) | |
2 lb. ground beef 2/3 c. rice, cooked 2 tsp. salt 2 eggs 1 med. onion, diced 2 cans tomato soup 1 soup can of water 1 head cabbage Remove hard core of cabbage. Simmer covered, removing outer leaves as they wilt. Mix together the ground beef, rice, salt, eggs, onion and 2 tablespoons of the tomato soup. Pour the remaining soup and a can of water into a 10 x 12 inch casserole. Place about a 1/4 cup of meat and rice mixture on each cabbage leaf. Fold sides toward center and roll up. Place rolls in casserole. Bake, covered at 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hours. Remove cover for last 15 minutes. Serves 8. |
