This was delicious! Didn't feel like turning oven on so sauteed chicken breasts til brown, set them aside, then browned mushrooms & onions. Added mushroom soup with a little chicken broth & extra lemon juice, then put the chicken back in, covered it & let it simmer. Made a side of Farfalle pasta with fresh spinach, yum!

I added a couple of cloves of minced garlic to the recipe and a shot of Montreal Steak seasoning.

I served it with broccoli for colour. Delicious!

I made this dish and I thought it was delicious! Only I didn't have any lemon, but I did add French's crispy fried onions on top in the last 20 minutes, I will definitely be making this again!

I am going to make this tonight. Have to feed two adult men two adult women and a child. Should I double the amounts or will this work. I will also have rice and rolls. On a budget and this is all I have in my freezer for chicken. I do have shrimp left over from another recipe and would that go with this? Just looking to feed with what I have.

I can't believe how tasty this dish is. I mean it is really really good. I'm having it again tonight for the second straight evening. Like others, I browned my chicken and sauteed the onions, mushrooms, and two or three crushed cloves of garlic prior to baking. Yummy!

Very very delicious and easy recipe. I followed the ingredients except for salt and pepper I substituted for lemon pepper. I cooked chicken till it got a little brown then I sauteed the cream of mushrooms, onion, garlic (just like one of the comments suggested) and pored it over the brown chicken then i put in the oven for about one hour.

Ooh this was great, I added a tin of mushrooms in butter sauce as well as a few fresh mushrooms as I didn't have enough fresh ones. Wow was this a tasty meal, so easy & quick clean up. Also I browned the chicken first sprinkled with a little chicken seasoning.... Sensational! Thanks for the great recipe which will be used over & over by this cook.

Making for the second time today because I'm craving it. I use two cans of cream of mushroom because I love saucy dishes... I also use a whole lemon and add potatoes... Even though the recipe as written is still perfection. The chicken is so tender and juicy. One more thing... I use thighs because I like dark meat.
