PEANUT BUTTER BROWNIES | |
1 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. smooth or chunky peanut butter 1/3 c. butter 2/3 c. sugar 1/2 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar 2 eggs 1/2 tsp. almond extract Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Mix peanut butter and butter. Gradually add sugars, beating until fluffy. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time, then add almond extract. Stir in flour mixture until thoroughly mixed. Turn into a greased 9 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes, or until cake springs back when touched lightly. Cool. Yield: 16 (2 1/4 inch) squares. |
