CHEESECAKE SQUARES 
6 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 c. flour
8 z. cream cheese
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 sm. can crushed pineapple

Sift together flour and sugar; cut in butter until fine crumbs. Reserve 1 cup. Press remaining mixture into bottom of ungreased 8 x 8 pan, or can use 8 x 12. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes, just until edges start to brown. Meanwhile, beat cream cheese until smooth, add sugar; beat until fluffy. Add remaining ingredients, beat well.

Spread over baked layer. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Cool on wire rack and cut into bars while still warm. Chill thoroughly before serving. (Takes 35-40 minutes in 8 x 12 pan.)
