PICKLED SOUR CHERRIES 
Seed sour red cherries, weigh them, and put into a crock, barely covering them with vinegar. Cover and let all stand for 24 hours.

Drain well at the end of 24 hours, pressing gently while draining.

Weigh an equal amount of sugar and add to the cherries in the crock. Stir this from the bottom every day for 10 days. Cover crock, and use as desired.
