SHRIMP, SAUSAGE AND OKRA GUMBO 
1 qt. raw okra
1 can stewed tomatoes
2 lg. onions, chopped
1 lg. pkg. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 qt. shrimp, peeled
1 lb. smoked sausage, thinly sliced
1 lg. bell pepper, chopped
1 bunch green onions, chopped
2 tbsp. pepper seasoning
1/2 c. cooking oil

Smother okra, tomatoes, onions and bell pepper in oil until slime is gone. Add approximately 8 cups of water. Add all other ingredients. Cook for 2 hours, adding water, if needed. Serve over cooked rice. Serves 10.
