BLUE RIBBON TART LEMON SQUARES 
1 c. sifted flour
1/4 c. powdered sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
2 tbsp. flour
Lemon Glaze (recipe follows)

Combine 1 cup flour, powdered sugar and 1/8 teaspoon salt. Cut butter in until mixture is crumbly. Press mixture into 7 x 11 x 1 1/2 inch baking dish (9 inch square also works). Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

Combine sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, baking powder, 1/8 teaspoon eggs, lemon juice and lemon rind. Mix thoroughly. Spread evenly over baked crust. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool in pan on rack. Spread with Lemon Glaze.

LEMON GLAZE:

Combine 1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 tablespoon butter or regular butter and 1 drop yellow food color. Blend until smooth.
