TOLLHOUSE COOKIES WITH OATS 
1 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. boiling water
1 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
2 c. oatmeal (not quick)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. nuts

Cream together butter and sugars. Beat in eggs. Sift flour with salt, soda, stir into butter mix. Alternate with water. Add oats, chips and vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees on ungreased cookie sheets for 12 minutes. May substitute raisins for chips, add 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
