HOMEMADE GRANOLA 
4 c. uncooked reg. oatmeal
1 1/4 c. chopped nuts
1 c. wheat germ
1/2 c. shredded coconut
1/2 c. honey
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped dates

In a large bowl combine oats, nuts, wheat germ, coconut, honey, oil and flavorings. Mix thoroughly. Turn mixture in a large shallow baking pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes. Stir every 5 minutes until lightly browned. Cool and add fruit. Store in an airtight container.
