FILLED STRAWBERRY COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. buttermilk
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
Strawberry preserves
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder

Cream butter and sugars. Blend in eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients. Chill dough. Roll out 1/8 inch thick. Cut in 2 inch circles. Drop jam in center. Fold and seal edges with fork. Prick center. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
