CHERRY PIE 
3 1/3 c. pitted red sour cherries
1 tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
1 c. granulated sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. almond flavoring
1 tbsp. butter
Few drops red food coloring (optional)
Pastry for 2 crust pie

Combine cherries, tapioca, sugar, salt, flavoring and red coloring if used. Arrange in bottom of unbaked pie crust. Dot with butter; cover with vented top crust and bake in 450 degree oven for 15 minutes; then lower oven temperature to 350 degrees and bake for 45 minutes.
