ELEPHANT STEW
1 elephant
150 gallons brown gravy
Salt and pepper to taste
1 rabbit, opt.

In the season when elephants are numerous and prosperous, capture a large one, carefully skin it, and cut into bite size pieces. This takes about 2 months. Add brown gravy to cover. Season to taste, and cook over kerosene fire at 465 degrees until tender about 3 weeks.

If unexpected guests arrive on the day of the gathering, the rabbit may be added. Do this only if necessary. After all, most diners do not like to find a hare in their stew.
