ORANGE SLICE BARS 
1 lb. orange slices, cut fine
1 tsp. butter
2 c. brown sugar
4 egg yolks
2 tbsp. water
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 egg whites, beaten stiff
1/2 c. nutmeats

Bake in sheet pan at 300 degrees for 30 minutes.

ICING:

1 c. confectioners' sugar
2 tbsp. orange juice
2 tbsp. soft butter

Yields approximately 48 bars. Can be iced, plain or rolled in confectioners' sugar.
