HATTIE'S SOFT MOLASSES COOKIES 
3 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. lard
1 c. sour cream
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. molasses
9 c. flour
7 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. ginger

Combine wet ingredients. Add flour until soft dough. Use icing sugar to roll out dough.

For white cookies, use 1 extra cup milk in place of molasses. Flour table with icing sugar. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch. Use cookie cutter.

Bake about 10 to 13 minutes at 350°F.
