BEEF KEEMAH CURRY 
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. vegetable shortening
1 tbsp. ground coriander
1/2 tsp. cumin seeds
2 med. onions, minced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp. tomato paste (or 1 med. tomato)
1/2 c. water (approximately)
1 tsp. turmeric
1 inch fresh ginger root, minced
1/2 pt. plain yogurt
Salt

Saute onion, garlic and ginger in shortening. Add water. Add beef, tomato, yogurt, spices and salt. Cover and cook about 30 minutes over low heat. Serves 4.

Optional: 1 package peas may be added about 10 minutes before the end. 390 calories per serving.
