"FRUIT COBBLER" 
3 c. blackberries
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch

Dough:

1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tbsp. sugar
2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
4 1/2 tbsp. Crisco
3/4 c. milk

Put berries in pan and bring to boil. Mix sugar and cornstarch together and add to berries. Boil 1 to 2 minutes. Pour in 9 or 10-inch square pan which is buttered. Dot berries with 1 tablespoon butter. Combine dough ingredients and drop by tablespoon on top of berries.

Bake in 400°F oven 20 to 25 minutes.
