AMISH MAPLE SYRUP PIE 
Serve small pieces as this is very rich!

1 (8 to 9-inch) pie shell, baked and cooled
1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
2/3 cup real maple syrup
dash of salt

Combine sweetened condensed milk, maple syrup and salt in small saucepan. Cook slowly, stirring constantly until it comes to a boil. Cook until it is thick and creamy (about 10 to 15 minutes). Pour into prepared baked pie shell and cool.

TOPPING:

1 cup whipping cream
sugar, to taste (optional)
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup toasted pecans

Whip cream, sweeten with a small amount of sugar if desired (I prefer not to). Add vanilla. Spread over cooled pie. Top with toasted pecans.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Serves 8 to 10.
