THUMBPRINT COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract
1/2 c. cornstarch
1/2 c. confectioners sugar
1 c. flour

Cut butter into small bits in a bowl. Add the vanilla and almond extracts and mix. Next add cornstarch, sugar and flour. Mix with a spoon or clean hands until all ingredients are combined. Make balls with tablespoons of dough. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Make a dent in each cookie with your thumb. Put jam in each dent. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
