CUCUMBER OIL PICKLES | |
12 cucumbers, 4-5 inches long 6 sm. white onions, thinly sliced 1/3 c. salt 2 c. vinegar 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. celery seed 1/4 c. white mustard seed 1/2 c. salad oil Slice cucumbers thin; add onions and salt. Let stand overnight. Drain; wash vegetables in 2 cups cold water and drain again. Mix vinegar, sugar, spices and oil with vegetables; pack in sterile jars, seal and store in cool place. |
