SHOEFLY CUPCAKES 
2 1/2 c. flour
1/4 lb. butter
2 1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. boiling water

Mix butter and 1 1/2 cups brown sugar. Add baking powder and flour. Put 1 cup of mixture aside. Add rest of sugar, 1 teaspoon baking soda and 1 1/2 cups boiling water. Fill cupcake pans 3/4 full and top with the crumbs you set aside. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
