LAYERED LETTUCE SALAD | |
8 c. torn iceberg lettuce 3 c. coarsely chopped cauliflower 1 c. thinly sliced carrots 1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms 1/2 c. chopped sweet red onion 1 1/2 c. mayonnaise 2-3 tbsp. prepared mustard 6 oz. (1 1/2 c.) shredded Cheddar cheese 15 slices bacon, crisply cooked, crumbled In 13 x 9 inch (3 quart) baking dish, layer lettuce, cauliflower, carrots, mushrooms and onion. Combine mayonnaise and mustard; spread evenly over onion layer. Layer cheese and bacon over mayonnaise mixture. Cover; refrigerate overnight. 12 servings. Wonderful to make ahead for Christmas dinner, etc.! |
