14 saltine crackers, rolled fine
12 to 14 dates, cut fine
1/2 c. pecans, cut fine
1 c. sugar
3 egg whites
1/4 tsp. salt
1 generous tsp. almond extract

Combine dates, pecans and sugar. Beat egg whites stiff adding salt and almond extract. Fold in first mixture. Bake in buttered 9 inch pie pan for 45 minutes in 300 degree oven. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
