HOT SPICED CIDER 
4 qts. apple cider
1/2 c. brown sugar
24 whole cloves
8 (2 inch) cinnamon sticks
16 whole allspice
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1-2 c. dark rum

Combine all ingredients except rum. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer for 15 minutes. Strain through a paper towel. Let cool; add rum and refrigerate. Reheat to serve. For non drinkers rum does not have to be used at all. Smells wonderful on a cold winter day!

Makes alot and very delicious!
