MEXICAN CASSEROLE 
2 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion
1 can mushroom soup
1 can enchilada sauce
1/2 can water
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1 sm. can green chilies (optional)
8 corn tortillas
4 c. grated cheese

Brown ground beef. Add chopped onion; cook until tender. Stir in all ingredients except cheese and tortillas. Tear tortillas into pieces and line bottom of a casserole dish. Spoon meat mixture into dish. Top with a layer of cheese. Repeat procedure ending with a layer of cheese. Bake in 350 degree oven until casserole bubbles.
