2/3 c. soft shortening
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 oz. baking chocolate, melted
2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. ice water

Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy. Blend in cooled chocolate. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Add this to the creamed mixture alternately with the ice water. Bake in a 9 x 13 inch pan at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
