HOME MADE ICE CREAM 
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 (1 lb.) cans fruit cocktail, peaches or pineapple
2 tsp. vanilla
2 (13 oz.) cans evaporated milk
Whole milk

Beat eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla together, blending very well until smooth. Add evaporated milk and beat again. Pour into ice cream can and add fruit and finish filling can with whole milk. Freeze according to directions with freezer. Makes 1 gallon. If using peaches, chop into pieces. If making vanilla ice cream, increase sugar to 2 1/2 cups.
